privacy policy

macmacmacmark (“we”, “us”) is mac’s studio site. This page explains what personal data we collect when you use it, why, and what your rights are. We keep this as short as the subject allows — if anything is unclear, email camcamark@gmail.com.

what we collect, and why

Shop orders. Checkout is handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Stripe processes your name, email, and shipping address to take payment and let us fulfil your order; we only receive confirmation that an order happened and which items it contained.

The monthly art club. Joining the club also goes through Stripe, but because it’s a physical parcel sent every month, we keep a copy of your email, name, and postal address for as long as you’re a member, so we know where to send it and can manage your subscription. We delete this once you cancel and any outstanding parcel has gone out, unless we need to keep records briefly for accounting purposes.

Newsletter. If you sign up at the bottom of the site, your email address is sent to Kit (our email newsletter provider) so we can send you updates. Every email has an unsubscribe link — using it removes you from the list.

Your shopping basket. While you’re browsing, your basket is saved only in your own browser (not sent to us or anyone else) until you check out.

Site administration. When mac logs in to manage the site, a login session cookie is set. This only happens for the site owner — regular visitors never receive it.

who we share it with

We use a small number of trusted services to run this site:

• Stripe — payment processing
• Supabase — our database and file storage (hosts club subscriber details and site content)
• Kit — email newsletter delivery

We don’t sell or rent your data to anyone, and we don’t use any analytics or advertising trackers on this site.

where your data is processed

Some of the services above may process or store data outside the UK/EEA (for example, in the US). Where that happens, they do so under their own published safeguards — see the links above for details.

how long we keep it

Club subscriber details are kept while you’re a member and briefly afterwards for accounting purposes, then deleted. Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. We don’t hold shop order data ourselves beyond order confirmations — Stripe retains transaction records under its own policy.

your rights

Under UK GDPR, you can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you, or ask us to restrict how we use it. Email camcamark@gmail.com and we’ll sort it out directly — most requests just mean removing you from the club list or the newsletter. If you’re not happy with how we’ve handled something, you can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
